I started the 2-week test last week but by 2 or 3 days into the test I was so weak I could hardly walk up and down the stairs in my house. I felt terrible and was unable to do my daily runs because of feeling so weak.     Our obesity problem is growing, cancer rates are soaring, and our incidence of lifestyle preventable diseases is off the charts.
    They should be fine. Thanks for checking.
    Is there any amount of calories (or at least a minimum level ) that we should be striving for? I worry that I might be under eating with so many things out. I do not want to slow down my metabolism. Additionally I want to get sure that if I lose weight it is due to lack of carbs and not a low calorie diet. Thank you so much.

  2. Great question. In a fat-adapted body the liver develops to provide the body with sugar to cover its sugar needs. While the sugar stores in muscles will never be the same as if you’re eating a higher-carb diet, there will still be enough to power the body through a generous amount of anaerobic work. The issue with the two-week test is that since the body is not fat adapted, it relies on much of its energy from carbohydrates, all of which it has to get from the diet. In that situation, if you eliminate carbs from the diet, you won’t be in a position to do carb-based activities until you become fat-adapted.
    I just watched the videos and I remembered I had seen them before but forgot about them; dunno if from the blog or somewhere else.
