So the best part of being more efficient at burning fat is that you maintain more glycogen (both liver and muscle) for maintaining blood sugar levels rather than trying to fuel your aerobic system.

The confusion is that all tree nuts but cashews are OK during the TWT, and I had previously directed people that “all tree nuts are OK.” Don’t worry about having eaten a little cashews; it’s fine. But best to stay away from them from now on.
    Part of having a better life, at least as it relates to health, is learning and practicing the ancient art of fasting.

    However, I would check out all the endurance planet podcasts with Dr. Maffetone. They’re all gems.
    From personal experience, my speed/paces (at MAF HR and below) were the best when I was on a high carb, low fat diet. In addition, my endurance (how long I could go for) was better than ever. At my MAF HR, I still felt like I was a very efficient fat-burner inspite of my diet. My MAF tests were improving all of the time.
