I just want to say something about cardio for the few female readers. I think for smaller women, sometimes it’s really necessary, and not just 20 minutes twice a week. Not that anything you said is wrong, but if you’re a small woman, you might literally starve if the deficit comes from the diet entirely… I am just saying that because I see so many women “bragging” about not doing any cardio, and losing fat at a normal pace while eating a decent amount of food, which usually sets unrealistic expectations…

You can burn hundreds of calories with a 30-minute intense workout, but as an asthmatic, that exercise can make a sustained 30 minutes of exercise hard, and one bowl of cereal can put those calories right back on again. If you want to lose weight, food needs to be your first focus.

My body has had a good response and nothing has come up that would detour me from straying while on the test. This morning, however, I have come down with what must be an unrelated surge of the stomach flu. Usually people suggest toast or applesauce etc. when you are sick. I don’t want to re-introduce a carb/sugar in this state unless I have a reaction to it. I would like to finish the TWT. Are there any suggested TWT foods that would be good for after the stomach flu? It takes time for the body to build the enzymes it needs to burn fat instead of glucose. In addition, it takes 3-4 days to get into the fat burning mode of ketosis.
