Let me set the record straight. September 23, 2015 at 12:36 am Nuts, the second food to watch, contain a fair amount of carbohydrate, and it’s very easy to unwittingly scarf down large quantities. Cashew nuts are among the worst carb-wise – you’ll find that they contain around 20% carbohydrate by weight. For someone following a strict keto diet with a 20 grams of carbs per day allowance, this means that consuming 100 grams (which happens in a flash!) will have filled their daily quota. Peanuts tend to be around 10-15% carbohydrate – not putting them in the clear either.
To lose weight without restricting calories, you should fast. Science shows you can lose a lot of weight with intermittent fasting. Most experts recommend starting with just a five-minute workout every day. It won’t burn 200 calories, but it will get you started. Begin with five minutes a day, seven days a week. Any kind of exercise will work, and if you are asthmatic, try to limit your cardio at first. Experiment with crunches, push-ups, some jumping jacks, or maybe some running in place. As long as you don’t stop for five minutes, you are fine. The following week, increase your workout time by five minutes. Keep increasing every week by two minutes, and soon you will be working out for 30 minutes a day with no problem. It’s that simple, and working your way up slowly will help ease symptoms of asthma as your heart and lungs grow stronger with regular exercise.
My problem is that I feel I should be eating some carbs, partly because the water I drink seem to go straight thru’ me so I’m spending a lot of time in the washroom and getting up at night. If I don’t drink then I get dehydrated with leg cramps etc.
