Hi, I am a long time follower of Phil’s training method. However, I only recently — 7 days ago — dug in for the 14 day test, suspecting I have some degree of carbohydrate intolerance (and being a well practiced sugar addict). I am BLOWN AWAY 7 days in from one metric alone: my blood pressure. On Day 1 it was 134/85; today it is 108/69. I am so stoked. I learned of my 130s blood pressure at the Leadville 100 in 2000 (pre-race check), was really surprised given my high level of fitness, and resigned that it was “who I was.” Of course, I ate high card/low fat at the time.
