November 18, 2015 at 7:17 pm Hi Ivan, I have a question regarding pasta. I’m Italian and, as you can imagine, ask me to completely stop eating pasta is like asking Whinny the Pooh to stop looking for honey :). Joking aside, please do not assume I’m an incredible “pasta eater” and I’ve been avoiding it for a long time now in order to follow a healthier “fat-burning” lifestyle. However, if I’ve understood correctly, the point of avoiding refined carbohydrates is that they have a high glycemic index and therefore impair the ability of the body to use fat as main source of energy. Now, pasta, at least the finest Italian brands, does not have a high glycemic index at all. I completely understand and agree with the fact that comfort food and refined carbo must be avoided (rolls, bagels, cakes etc.), but I do not think that have a moderate amount of pasta once/twice a week will massively impair the fat-burning process. What do you say?
Get several hours of moderate to vigorous exercise each day. The best way to burn calories is through exercise. If your body is already familiar with moderate physical activity, you might be able to take things up a notch by alternating moderate and vigorous activity throughout your day. On the other hand, if you are unaccustomed to much physical activity, you should only stick to moderate exercise. Either way, make sure to take plenty of breaks and to re-hydrate yourself with plenty of water consistently.
