Sleeping for an adequate number of hours each day isn’t simply about resting when you’re tired. Your body repairs itself while you sleep, helping regulate the stress and hunger hormones, cortisol and ghrelin. When your cortisol levels are high and you’re stressed out, you may tend to binge eat or go overboard on calories and if ghrelin levels are left unchecked, it can be harder for you to stick to proper meal portions. Plan and maintain a regular sleep schedule and aim to go to bed and wake up at or around the same time every day. For many, this is also particularly important during the weekend, when you don’t have to stick to a standard weekday routine.
So while people use these phrases interchangeably all the time (and I’ll probably do it a few dozen times in this article), and we know what most people truly mean when they use them, it’s still worth noting the very important difference between them. It matters. You’ll see why in a few minutes.

Hi there I had an unfortunate experience with the 14 day test. My husband posted about it earlier, but the message was lost due to website upgrade I believe. I became extremely fatigued on Day 2 and this continued until Day 8 when I discontinued the test as I was really concerned about the level of fatigue (could hardly function), heart palpitations and trouble sleeping. I have a history of chronic fatigue which I “manage” by being careful with what I do and how I do it. I essentially experienced bad CF symptoms whilst on the test. However, since then I have continued to be fatigued (it’s about 3 weeks since I stopped the test). I am wondering if other CF sufferers have tried the test and got a different (positive) result. I would welcome your comments/thoughts. My husband had a totally different and positive experience/outcome but decided to try it for quite different reasons and symptoms to mine.

I want to go back to his low starch diet now as I felt fantastic on it, but now as a vegan and also doing much more exercise I’ll have to add more fat and protein from avocados, nuts and coconut collaborative natural yoghurt instead of the eggs. Sun Warrior protein powder also has 0g of sugar per scope (4g carbs) and so I will add this in, perhaps with diluted coconut milk…
