September 26, 2016 at 4:30 pm Hi Ivan, I started following the guidelines dramatically cutting carbs, eating 8 to 10 servings of veggies/fruit a day and not caring so much about fats (only the good ones though) and training exclusively aerobically at or under my MAF. At the same time I stopped taking statins for cholesterol as my lipid test was now excellent. Although I did lose 10lbs to reach a perfect BMI, the combination of the diet plus stopping the medication gave the following jump in my current lipids test (3 months later):
