I have a question about training with the 180 formula. I completed the TWT and am starting 3 months of training at below MAF. I want to retain some strength training twice a week. This is a 20 minute workout with kettlebell in the morning but will most likely take me above MAF. I will be running in the evenings of those 2 days below MAF hr. Is this acceptable and will it have any impact?

My question is what sort of ideal Macro breakdown would you typically have on the TWT and also what sort of macro breakdown would you aim for post test on a continuing basis. Prior to the test I would typically consume approx 170-200 g Carbs, 50-60g fat and 80-100g protein. (Aiming for 40% Carbs, 25% fat and 35% protein.) I have also had some noticeable effects on my blood pressure whilst doing the two-week test. I started the test on 10th August, but had to restart on 14th August (because I ate some berries), so I’m due to finish the first stage of the test on 28th August. I have been doing very little running but I have been going to strength and conditioning classes, such as kettle bell training, regularly and I found that my existing low-blood pressure is more acute than normal. I think this because I get more dizzy spells whilst exercising. Other than that I feel very well and like a hidden sugar detector in that I can taste the smallest amount of sugar in food. I do wonder though, whether the blood pressure effect I’m experiencing is normal.

Once I completed the diet I later added in sundried tomatoes in olive oil every 2-3 days (but they are much higher in sugar than the other foods) and some other veg like pumpkin and squashes (which I wasn’t allowed to start with). At the time I wasn’t vegan and ate a couple of eggs a day. I want to go back to his low starch diet now as I felt fantastic on it, but now as a vegan and also doing much more exercise I’ll have to add more fat and protein from avocados, nuts and coconut collaborative natural yoghurt instead of the eggs. Sun Warrior protein powder also has 0g of sugar per scope (4g carbs) and so I will add this in, perhaps with diluted coconut milk…
