The reason is because its sweetness is quite unrelated to its glycemic index (the impact on blood sugar). For example, bananas—but not all fruits—have an inverse correlation between sweetness and glycemic index. When they are unripe and acidic, they have a much larger impact on blood sugar than when they are ripe and sweet. I wouldn’t look at sweetness in deciding whether to eat something or not. I’d look at its glycemic index.

I, like many people, have some (or a lot) of issues with emotional eating. This was really hard to deal with but good at the same time. I ate 6 cookies one day and another night I just couldn’t make myself a different meal and I ate eggs and toast with my kids. So I didn’t do things perfectly and that gave me a lot of guilt. But on the opposite side of things, I also saw the times where I could have turned to food and I didn’t.
February 23, 2016 at 1:04 pm Hi all. I’m starting my 4th day of TWT. On the first day I was also running for about 1 hour with MAF pace. On my 3rd day I did some modarate strenght traininig. It is my usual routine. I feel ok. The only problem is i don’t sleep very well. 2nd and 3rd date I woke up at 3 am and could not fall back to sleep. I never had problems with sleep before. Is it normal? Does any one has similar experience?
