I’m on day 3 of the TWT and I feel awful. I feel constantly exhausted and eating all that fat and protein is making me feel nauseous. I feel hungry at times but can’t face eating. It is 14km and I am worried that I will keel over half way through. What do you suggest that I eat beforehand or during the run? Also is it normal to feel like I do?

6 people found this helpful Re-introducing some carbs won’t really hurt your ability to train yourself into burning more fat. Don’t get me wrong here: if you re-introduce carbs, you’ll burn that much more carbs and that much less fat than a diet that is absolutely 100% fats. Why? You’re fueling in a different way. But let me be clear: if you train at or under the aerobic threshold, particularly for over an hour, you’ll still dramatically increase your ability to burn fats.

After the TWT I resumed eating normally but reduced carbs considerably and continued my anaerobic training (mostly). About 2 months after the TWT I did a blood test and my TSH level is very low (0.03) but by free T4 is in normal range. Is this because of low carbs coupled with anaerobic training? if yes, what should I do now to get my TSH level to normal level?
