I don’t live in a particularly hilly area but even slight inclines cause a minimum 5 bpm spike. When I return to normal routes should I just start walking before I start the incline? Even walking these inclines can make my HR go well over my target. How do I get over these without compromising my training? What is the best way to achieve running up the same incline in the future?
